Adoptable Pets...We Need Homes!

Stray - No Name

Chow/Shep - 1-2 yrs old, 40 lbs.

I wandered onto these nice people's porch and there I have stayed put. They tried to find my parents but haven’t been successful. They would keep me but they already have two big dogs. Here’s what they want you to know about me:

I play nicely with their dogs

They will be taking me to the vet to make sure I’m healthy.

I am a boy, and maybe 1-2 years old.

They say I’m so well behaved that I must have come from a home—please help me find another soft, warm, place to rest my tired paws. Contact citydog for more information. sociallysavvy@citydogwalking.com

Jake with his Grandma.

Jake

Briard - 7 yrs old, 115 lbs.

Jake's Dad is ill, and is looking for a home for Jake. He is not ready to give him up yet, but would love to know who will be adopting Jake prior to his death.

He is utd on shots, neutered, housebroken, very well behaved, doesn't jump on visitors, "good watch dog", excellent with children, and loves long walks. His Dad says he can assert himself with strange dogs, but gets along well with neighbors dog who he sees often.

Please call Beth if you have any further questions or would like to arrange a visit. Thank your for your assistance.

Blackie

LabX - 2 yrs old, 50 lbs.

Blackie is a sweet dog who has gone through some hard times. His owner passed away, and left him alone. Despite this sadness, he is still very happy and loves to meet new people. He gets along with other dogs, and loves to play. He is about 2 years old, but acts like a giant puppy. He would love a home with a yard (he doesn't jump fences) where he could run around and entertain his new owners. We suggest that he go to a home with dogs only, no cats. Blackie is neutered, housetrained, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm preventative. If you would like more information about Blackie, please stop by Rainbow Pet Hospital at 4468 Rainbow Blvd, KCKS or call (913) 831-2034.

Chloe

Golden/Basset, 5years old, 50lbs

She would do well with other dogs and needs a yard to play in.  She is very mellow and sweet and great with kids.  She has not been spayed but is current on all shots. Email taracarr00@aol.com for more info.

Peeps

TerrierX, 1-2 years old, approx. 45lb.

Peeps is a great dog. She was found as a stray on Easter and has since been spayed. She is living with two other dogs and gets along well with them.  Her foster Mom says that she does have a bit of a stubborn streak in her, so a more experienced dog person would be best.  She is believed to be a terrier mix. She is micro-chipped and current on annual shots.  She is 100% crate trained and possibly fully house trained. Her foster Mom may be enrolling her in obedience class soon. Please call, 816 210-3690 for more information.

Bronco

Pit Bull, 2 Years Old, 90 lbs.

Many of you may remember Bronco from our September streetnews.  Please take a look at that issue for more pictures.  He is looking for a permanent home.  He is unable to stay with his family at their current home due to his size, he is pushing 90 lbs.   He is in desperate need of either a new home or at the very least a foster home. Country Kennels, which works closely with Pit Bull rescue is full and can not take him in.

Bronco is as sweet as they come, he loves people, and is generally friendly with other dogs although he would do best being the only dog in the house.  He is currently living with a baby so we know he's alright with kids. He is a big, strong guy, but extremely well mannered.  He is an excellent walker, he doesn't pull at all and will sit at every corner if he's asked.  You will see from the photos in September streetnews that he is very patient and polite, even when it comes to food.  Being that he is a healthy, young, dog he does needs a fair amount of exercise.  We have all fallen in love with Bronc, he truly is a one of a kind and we're doing all we can to help him out!

Even if you are not able to help, please pass this along to anyone you can think of that may be in a position to help.
