Beginning in 1999,
citydog became Kansas City’s premier and the original dog walking and pet sitting service for
the Urban Core area. We began as a one woman company and have carefully
hand-selected employees who are ‘people people’ as well as ‘animal
people’ to join our team! They are professional, conscientious, and
trustworthy. Our business is only as strong and reputable as our people.
Just ask any of our customers! In 1999, we offered just two services; dog
walking and pet sitting. Today we have a wide variety of services that
will allow you to love your dog and live your life. The value of our
service can be measured by two things; the happiness of your pet while in our
care, and your ability to tend to your daily activities without
worry for your pets. We hope to have the opportunity to be there for you
and your pet for their lifetime...

How do your pet care services work??
To begin, if you want to skip all of

So, you're a reader, huh? First,
visit our Pet Care Services
page. There you will find detailed information on our many services
as well as pricing.
Once you've decided which services you're interested in, we invite you to
check out our References. If you would
like additional references for the specific pet sitter or dog walker that
will be visiting your home, we'd be happy to provide you with additional
names and numbers.
Next, give us a call and we can set-up our initial visit. We will
come to your home, and the meeting usually takes about an hour. Both
Sandy, and your dog walker or pet sitter will come to meet with you and
your pets. We fill out our citydog profile to get care and behavior
information including likes (he LOVES the red ball), dislikes (he HATES
big brown dogs) and secret hiding places (in the morning you will find him
on the top shelf, in the closet, on the left side in the master
bedroom) as well as emergency contacts. Then we go through our
Service Contract, which outlines our citydog company policies.
Finally we get the key. You have the
option to keep the key on file at our office, where it's kept in a lock
box, or we can return it to you after each reservation. Generally
our clients find it more convenient to keep it on file, then we're better
able to accommodate last minute reservations.
Now, you're ready to go and you're an official member of the citydog
family! We will confirm your reservation and schedule and we're set
to take care of your kids. Feel
